Pratham Samiti believes that education is the greatest tool of empowerment. In Dehradun’s slums and marginalized communities, many children see books, pencils, and school as distant dreams. Poverty and lack of resources are the biggest barriers to their learning. We believe that providing quality education to these children is not an act of charity but a responsibility toward building a just society. Our Efforts Since July 2022, Pratham Samiti has been committed to bringing the light of education to underprivileged children. Daily teaching sessions by volunteers focus not only on academics but also on building confidence and curiosity in children. Regular science and art workshops foster creativity and experimental thinking. Community meetings are held to educate parents on the importance of schooling for their children. Your Role Your small contribution can open the doors of a new world for these children:
- ₹500 provides a child with one month of study material.
- ₹1,000 supplies a child with books and stationery for an entire school session.
- ₹5,000 funds a month of free tuition classes in a slum area.
Future Plans ...
By 2026, Pratham Samiti aims to connect at least 1,000 underprivileged children in Dehradun to regular education. We plan to launch digital classrooms, science labs, and career counselling initiatives to broaden their opportunities.
