Awareness Programs

Pratham Samiti is a social organization that has been continuously conducting awareness programs on education, health, sanitation, and environmental protection since November 2022. The main objective of the organization is to make slum dwellers and underprivileged children, youth, and women aware of their rights and responsibilities. From its inception, the committee has regularly organized community meetings, street plays, rallies, workshops, and poster campaigns. Through these programs, simple and clear messages are delivered on topics such as cleanliness, girls’ education, nutrition, science outreach, de-addiction, water conservation, and creating a plastic-free society. Since 2022, the committee has held more than a hundred small and large events across various settlements, schools, and community spaces. These initiatives have benefited thousands of people and brought visible positive changes in society. Children have developed a stronger interest in education, women have become more conscious about health and hygiene, and youth have gained a renewed awareness of environmental protection.

Future Plans

In the coming years, Pratham Samiti is committed to expanding these programs further. Our goal is to establish science education and skill-development centers in all major slum areas of Dehradun by 2030, so that children and young people can acquire modern technological knowledge and employment-oriented training. We also plan to run online awareness campaigns using digital platforms. Monthly workshops on emerging issues like climate change and renewable energy, a mobile science lab for rural areas, and large-scale plantation festivals are among our key priorities. Pratham Samiti firmly believes that continuous effort, public participation, and innovation can bring about lasting change in society. This is our pledge—“An Aware Society, an Empowered Future.”
